Lise asked about designing patterns for activewear

This month Lise was asked to be guest expert for Pattern Observer's Women’s Activewear workshop. She provided feedback and guidance through PO's private forum and also shared her perspective on the textile industry in an interview published by the popular textile and pattern design blog.

She says "Patterns that are textural and dynamic and yet very wearable typically are the most salable, because they're easy to wear and can go from the studio to the grocery store without looking like you're on your way to an exercise class. I think the global tribal influence is still strong especially for the swim side of the activewear market, whereas some of the more techno influences in the industry are popular for running and other sports."
